Billing Codes

A billing code is set up by the MCO to identify the codes that the providers use to bill the MCO for services rendered for payment. A billing code can have different characteristics such as rates, modifiers, frequency and units that differ by:

• Insurer

• Plan

• Provider

The rates assigned to a billing code have Effective From and To dates, usually based on a contract between the provider and the MCO.

Display the Billing Codes List Page

1. Follow this path: Administration tab > Care Management banner > Billing Codes sub-banner.

The Billing Codes list page is displayed. View field definitions.

From the Billing Codes list page, you can:

Add a Billing Code

Change a Billing Code

De-activate a Billing Code

Delete a Billing Code
